  • On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2019, we decided with friends to visit the Paolo Orsi Regional Archaeological Museum, many finds on two levels, many to see in detail.

  • The original name of the Syracuse Archaeological Museum is known as the Paolo Orosi Archaeological Museum, which is the first Sunday of the month and is exempt from the 8 euro admission fee, but the coin collection, known as the famous collection of Friends Italy, is closed on Sundays and, unfortunately, boasts a vast amount of geological data from the rest of the world before the rest of the world lives. Considering the general flow of art museums that sell their products, this place is just a straight walk away, so the quality of the artifacts is not as good as in Naples or the Vatican, but it's not bad if you're visiting for free.

  • An amazing museum with a huge collection of fantastic archeological artifacts. The exhibit explanations are in Italian and English! I'd give the museum 5 stars but our experience was nearly ruined by the lack of climate control. None of the many air conditioning units were functioning. Sicily is hot in August, and it was even hotter in the museum.
  • This is the best archaeological museum I have ever visited! I would encourage people to get the €13.50 combined ticket for the Archaeological Park and the museum (valid for 3 days and I purchased mine at the park) as they tie in rather nicely and you save yourself some dosh. The number of artefacts housed in the museum is astounding - it must have taken Indiana Jones years to collect it all! A lot of information to take in and all the plaques are in English as well as Italian. My only regret - I didnt have enough time to finish it in one day. Going back tomorrow hopefully.
