Unspunnen Castle is a castle, now in ruins, located in the municipality of Wilderswil in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland. The castle, likely constructed in the early 12th century, overlooks the city of Interlaken.

Today, Unspunnen is home to Unspunnenfest, a festival of traditional Swiss competitions held in the fields below the ruins.

    Open 24/7, free of charge, no parking. Stunning ruins with massive walls and wide view into the plane of Interlaken and Valley of Lauterbrunnen. This castle is the origin of Unspunnen Party, till today an event of traditional behavior. It former should connect people from the cities with them of countryside in doing sports, music and competitions and it stays for some hundred years now till today as popular event of swiss tradition.
