Monte Carlo of Switzerland
Located in the popular holiday region of Ticino, Lugano is the largest Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.Get out of town with these interesting Lugano side-trips: Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo (in Ascona), Valle Verzasca (in Lavertezzo) and Bellinzona (Castelgrande & Castelli di Bellinzona). There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Lugano, explore the ancient world of Monte San Giorgio, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Monte Bre, and stroll around Parco Ciani.
