Perugia — 2 nights

Green Heart of Italy

Though it features Etruscan defensive walls and a medieval town center, Perugia is perhaps best known for its fine chocolate and annual chocolate festival.
Explore Perugia's surroundings by going to Assisi (Basilica Papale e Sacro Convento di San Francesco d'Assisi, Basilica di Santa Chiara, &more). There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli - Porziuncola and step into the grandiose world of Rocca Paolina.

For reviews, traveler tips, ratings, and more tourist information, refer to the Perugia sightseeing tool.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi – Umbria International Airport, Marche Airport and Federico Fellini International Airport. In February, daytime highs in Perugia are 53°F, while nighttime lows are 39°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
